evening delight

What an evening. I just got home from being on Sydenham lake in Mum and Dad's pontoon boat. We brought a pizza and some chips, coffee and chocolate. The boys of course brought their pipes. We ended up drifting through swamps with our faces staring straight down into the shallow weeded homes of the creatures beneath. We sipped our coffee and nibbled on treats staring off into the purple and red sun set. The air was thick with delight and the sweet smell of tabacco. I couldn't help but notice God in everywhere. His handy work in each twig and wave. I couldn't help but feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place. We are so safe and sound here. There isn't anything to be afraid of. No men with guns, no terrifying weather, there is no threat to my life or the lives of my loved ones. I can only say thank you to God for placing me here and make the most of every moment by trying to serve Him by serving others.

Thank you Lord.

Melanie
