I am so excited about what's going on in our church these days. We just got a new worship leader/youth pastor and he's so fired up that I can't help but join in! I've started singing with his worship team and it feels great to be used by God in this way again. We are almost finished our expansion at the church which includes a gym and huge new kitchen plus a fire side lounge. I had a vision of the lounge buzzing with hip young people sipping coffee and listening to various local bands. There is so little to do if your a person between the ages of 25-45 within the christian community. I'd like to start to change that leaving this night open for anyone who is looking for a social evening with friends old and new to sit around listening to awsome artists chatting and encouraging eachother.
I see it also as an opportunity to break down the dividing walls of denominations. To broaden the christian community to include everyone who wants more of God in their lives.

What's in a name?

Okay so I'm up and my hub has gone to bed without me. It's odd being married to a morning person. I feel like I do my best stuff at night yet I have always gone to bed with him. He gets up at 5:45 or some such nasty hour. I could sleep until 9 or 10 no prob. I don't think I've slept in that late in a few years. So weird.
I just applied for Elishas birth certificate online. Very easy and fairly fast too. I thought it had been done months ago... oops.
I am shocked at the number of people who can't get their heads around Elishas name. Most people repeat it when I tell them but say Elijah. Duh...read my lips El..ish..aaaaaa. I have started just telling people it's Eli. I had no idea it would have been so hard for people. I might have considered a different name. People often think he's a girl as in Aleeeshaaa.....BLAHHHHHHHHHH.
Anyway, they'll figure it out. If not...who needs em'!

What a woman!

What a beautiful day! I woke up at six to nurse little Elisha. Seven I went fer a walk with Mum and two of her friends. I ate a good bowl of raisin bran and got to work. I raked out one of my flower beds, cleaned up the area where we have a lovely fire pit. I recoated our picnic table and our deck. I folded laundry, had a friend drop in fer lunch. Put the kids down fer a nap and worked up a new bed around the front of the house. Now its time to be planning supper. I think we'll have barbequed chicken, salad and maybe some pasta. I can't wait for Jacob to come home and see all that I have done. The only problem may be that he'll expect this kind of work from me everyday. Hmm. this could be bad. Maybe I'll tell him I had help...hah
Right now the girls are jumping on our new trampoline. It was the purchase we made after our successful yard sale. In part for Lydias birthday.
We are planning a BIG party on Friday night to celebrate spring and Lydias Birthday. It should be interesting. We are praying it doesn't rain.
We'll seeee
